Reminiscent watches Instagram and Facebook while you browse. Hover a photo, click Save, and it lands in a local vault on your own machine — organized by the person it's from, not scattered across whichever app you saw it in.
Nothing is uploaded. There is no account, no server, and no cloud in between.
Three things, all running on your own machine.
Save controls appear over any image on Instagram or Facebook. One click files that photo; nothing is saved unless you say so. Right-click → Save image to vault works too.
"Save all" grabs every image in a carousel, including slides you haven't scrolled to yet, one at a time so it never floods the page you're on.
Every save lands under the account it came from, in your Library, not in a folder you'll never sort through. The whole vault is a local database on your own disk.
Windows only for now. The build isn't code-signed yet, so the first run shows Windows' standard "protected your PC" prompt — More info → Run anyway. A simpler Chrome extension that downloads Facebook photos into named folders is also in progress and will carry the Reminiscent name.
